Job description:
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer (m/f/d) to support the software development teams as soon as possible. As a Senior Java Developer (m/f/d), you will collaborate with many dedicated colleagues who work together to develop data-driven software solutions and advance the company. Your responsibilities:
- You will independently design and develop business processes and system interfaces with a focus on Java technologies such as Swing, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and JavaFX.
- You will also plan and optimize the existing system architecture to further develop it towards a cloud and (micro)service architecture.
- In close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, you will develop solutions for Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) to enable the automated provisioning of cloud infrastructures.
- You will also monitor IT processes and interfaces and support operations within a DevOps approach.
- You will be responsible for managing external service providers and providing professional and technical advice to the business departments during the development of new features.
- You will also be responsible for application management of the in-house sales and planning tool and will manage releases, rollouts, patches, and upgrades of Java applications.

Requirements
• You have extensive experience as an application developer, particularly with Java technologies such as Swing, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and JavaFX, ideally in the retail or e-commerce sectors.
• You have a deep understanding of service-oriented architectures and several years of experience in designing complex multi-tier architectures and cloud computing.
• You enjoy agile working in a Scrum environment and are willing to be on-call.
• You have a practical, solution-focused approach and are characterized by strong communication and teamwork skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Hibernate, JBoss, UML, and databases (e.g., ORACLE PL/SQL, Aurora, Postgres, or other open source databases) round out your profile.
• You also have very good written and spoken German and English skills.
