Salary: up to €90,000 depending on qualifications

Our client is looking for an experienced Database Developer (m/f/d) to support the team in the further development of existing system interfaces and new business processes in Scrum. As a Database Developer at our client, you will play a key role in the evolution of the existing system towards cloud and microservice architecture. You will develop new cloud solutions in the area of databases and secure their operation. You will also ensure the automated provisioning of IaaC solutions from infrastructure in the cloud.
You will be offered an agile and dynamic work environment in which you can fully utilize your development skills. You will be part of a dedicated team working together to further develop a data-driven company and provide its customers with an optimal experience.
Your responsibilities include:
- Further development of existing system interfaces and new business processes using the Scrum development process, with a focus on Oracle, Amazon Aurora, and open-source databases.
- Adapting the existing system to cloud and microservice architectures, as well as developing new cloud solutions for databases and ensuring their operation.
- Automating the provision of infrastructure in the cloud using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with business units, IT departments, and external service providers.
- Monitoring IT processes and interfaces, as well as supporting regular operations through operational control within a DevOps approach.
- Contributing to the further development of existing test automation and monitoring systems.
- Responsibility for application management of the company's own sales and planning tools.

Requirements
• Solid knowledge of Oracle development with SQL & PL/SQL, including data modeling and interface design.
• Experience as an application developer with complex and distributed databases, ideally in the retail/e-commerce sector.
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures and processes.
• Enjoyment of agile working in a Scrum environment and willingness to be on-call.
• Good knowledge of Java (application server, O/R mapping, etc.)
• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Practical and solution-oriented working style, communication skills, and teamwork skills.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
