
About the Role
Your tasks:
Definition and implementation of the data governance framework to ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations
Implementation and further development of the data catalog as a central tool for creating data transparency and automating data governance workflows
Participation in the regular Data & Analytics Governance Board to advise and coordinate data governance in projects
Technical contact person (m/f/d) for data governance within the company
Evaluation of current market trends and industry best practices in data governance
Support with compliance audits on key topics such as GDPR, PII, legal guidance, and other financial regulations
Development, implementation, and documentation of data policies, standards, and procedures for new data environments as well as for data quality, including data catalogs, etc.
Proactive identification of opportunities to further improve the data governance framework
Working in a global, multinational Data & Analytics team in a dynamic and demanding environment

Requirements
Your profile:
University degree in computer science or a related field, ideally with a focus on data & analytics and data management
Several years of experience in data & analytics solutions
Knowledge of modern data governance concepts, data modeling, and data management
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), data engineering, and data catalog tools (e.g., Datahub)
Experience with Terraform (or similar tools), Python (or a similar object-oriented programming language), and good SQL skills
Experience with streaming platforms (Kafka or similar), batch pipelines (Dataflow, Spark, or similar), and orchestration tools (Airflow or similar)
Excellent English skills, German language skills are an advantage
Exceptional initiative and strong analytical skills
Ability to drive innovation and solve complex problems in a dynamic and demanding environment
Effective communication and persuasion skills
