
About the Role
Location: Munich North or remote
Salary: up to €115,000 depending on qualifications
Contract type: Permanent
Your responsibilities:
-Design and improve the architecture of the modern data platform, enabling critical capabilities such as BI, data science, and machine learning.
-Maintain the architecture of the advanced data platform to ensure smooth operation.
-Document the intricacies of our data platform's architecture to provide comprehensive insights for stakeholders.
-Align the efforts of our Data Intelligence department with business objectives by validating the alignment of the target architecture with the evolving enterprise application and technology landscape.
-Strategically consider our company's business objectives, strategies, and processes to ensure the optimal performance and relevance of our data architecture.
-Develop and enforce policies for effective data management, including robust data governance, security protocols, and data protection standards.
-Facilitate transparent communication and sharing between our development teams, taking responsibility for communicating critical technical decisions.
-Implement initiatives to reduce technical errors to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the data platform.
-Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, scaling, and automation to accelerate data consolidation processes.
-Maintain a constant interest in industry trends and emerging software frameworks to explore their potential to enhance our existing data systems.
-Provide valuable training and mentoring to the data community and stakeholders, guiding them in their roles and responsibilities.
-Support and guide data engineers and BI developers in the effective implementation and use of various technologies.
-Elevate our data solutions to promote more informed decision-making and contribute to the evolution of our company into a more data-driven organization.

Requirements
• Outstanding experience in systems and data architecture
• Appropriate experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience with Snowflake would be a plus
• Good SQL knowledge and experience in data modeling
• Willingness to explore and adopt new technologies
• Passion and enthusiasm for working with data
• Agile mindset and the desire to work in a self-organized team
• Openness to unconventional thinking and innovative topics
• Fluent in English and German
